How to Adjust your Score for Equitable Stroke Control (ESC)
The Rule of Handicapping sets a maximum number that a player can post on any hole depending on the players course handicap.
Scores are to be posted when you play at least 14 holes out of 18 holes or 7 out of 9 holes.
On the holes you did not play, record a par plus any handicap strokes you have received on that hole.
(Par 4 + 1 handicap stroke = 5 for recording)
For handicapping purposes, the maximum score a player MAY record for each hole is a “net double bogey”.
Net Double Bogey = Par + 2 + Handicap Stroke(s) received using full, unrestricted “Course Handicap”
(Par 4 + double bogey + 1 handicap stroke = 7 for recording)
